The Transformation of the Fujitsu Group:
Focusing on the customer's business,
global expansion and sustainability

I am pleased to convey my greetings to you as the newly appointed president of Fujitsu Limited.

My primary aim as president is to lead Fujitsu Group employees around the world in building corporate value for the benefit of our customers, shareholders, business partners and all the other stakeholders supporting our business. I will devote all of my energy and resources to creating greater value, and I would appreciate your continued support.

We live in an age where IT has become an essential part of business management and a pillar of society as a whole. IT innovation continues at a remarkable pace, making possible what once seemed impossible. As the role of IT expands, so do the role and responsibility of the Fujitsu Group in supporting our customers' businesses and meeting their growing expectations.

The Fujitsu Group will strive to exceed the expectations of its customers by reinforcing our customer-centric management perspective and, on that basis, transforming our basic approach to business in three primary ways. First, as a customer-centric company, we will focus on improving "the customer's business" and not simply their IT operations. Second, as the business of our customers becomes increasingly global, we too will shift our focus from Japan to pursue "global expansion." Third, as both the Fujitsu Group and our customers must co-exist in harmony with the Earth, we will focus on conducting business in a sustainable manner in order to preserve the Earth for future generations. The entire Fujitsu Group will transform itself by enhancing our customer-centric perspective using these approaches.

Transforming our business will require the Fujitsu Group to change itself in profound ways. My mission will be to instill the Corporate Vision of "the constant pursuit of innovation" throughout the Group and increase the motivation of our employees so they can make the most of their talents and help the Group achieve our goals.
