Fujitsu Reports FY 2003 Third-Quarter Financial Results

Tokyo, January 29, 2004 – Fujitsu Limited, a leader in customer-focused IT and communications solutions for the global marketplace, today reported consolidated net sales of 1,068.2 billion yen (approximately US$9.9 billion*) for the third quarter of fiscal year 2003 (October 1 - December 31, 2003), a 5.0% increase over the third quarter of fiscal 2002. The company posted higher year-over-year third-quarter sales in each of its main business segments - Software & Services, Platforms, and Electronic Devices. In addition to strong sales of semiconductors and other electronic devices, sales of new server and storage system models contributed to the positive results. Higher sales and the effects of cost cutting initiatives combined to produce an operating profit of 10.1 billion yen (US$94.4 million) for the third quarter, with all three business segments posting an operating profit for the quarter.

Fujitsu Develops High Capacity Micro Fuel Cell Technology

Tokyo, January 26, 2004 – Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. today announced the development of a new fuel-cell material technology that enables the use of 30% methanol - highly concentrated methanol - as a fuel source, as well as a prototype power unit that incorporates the technology. This technology enables much higher power capacities for passive micro fuel cells and realizes longer runtimes for mobile devices such as notebook PCs, PDAs and mobile phones.

Fujitsu Consulting Announces Sale of Spain Subsidiary to Management-led Group

Edison, NJ, January 23, 2004 – Fujitsu Consulting, the global consulting and services arm of the $38 billion Fujitsu Limited, has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its ownership interest in the companies comprising DMR Consulting Spain to a group that includes the DMR Consulting Spain management team backed by private investment firms. Both sides anticipate that the transaction will be completed within the next few months. DMR Consulting Spain currently provides consulting and services in nine countries, including Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Chile, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, and Spain. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
