Merseytravel is the operating name of the Merseyside Passenger Transport Authority and Executive - a public sector body responsible for co-ordinating public transport in Merseyside through partnership initiatives with private bus and rail operators.
After evaluating a range of potential partners, including its three existing suppliers, Aker Yards decided to outsource the management of its entire IT infrastructure, including 1,400 desktop systems, to Fujitsu.
